CHERYL GRENDELL has been promoted to select accounts supervisor at the Bangor branch of The Dunlap Corp. Grendell joined the insurance firm in 1987 as a commercial account specialist. A Searsport native, she has almost 20 years of experience in the industry.
LINDA STAPLES has been promoted as manager of the bank’s Springer Drive office in Bangor. Staples joined the bank in 1973. Most recently, she was consumer loan officer. A native of Presque Isle, Staples is secretary of the American Institute of Banking chapter in Bangor.
GARRET E. COLE has been promoted to treasurer of Cole Enterprises of Bangor. He will serve as senior vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer of Cole Enterprises, parent of Coles Express and related transportation and business divisions.
STEPHEN F. DUNLAP, president of The Dunlap Corp., has received the Major Achievement in Construction Award from the Associated General Contractors of Maine. He was cited for his leadership of the AGC of America as chairman of the National Associate Membership Council.
MARILYN A. LAVELLE has been selected as chairwoman of the nursing department at Eastern Maine Technical College. She has 29 years of experience in nursing and administration. She formerly was director of the Healthy Heart program at Eastern Maine Medical Center.
