Southern Penobscot Vocational School, a vocational high school serving juniors and seniors, will offer adult vocational education courses from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays, beginning Sept. 12.

Among the offerings will be auto body and repair, blueprint reading and drawing, carpentry, child care, word-data processing, electrical, heavy equipment maintenance, machine tool, nurses assistant, plumbing, printing, sheet metal, small engine repair, Class I truck driving, and welding.

Courses offer training for those seeking new careers or those pursuing hobbies.
