PITTSFIELD — Marianne Ferrato, Certified Fitness Instructor and owner of The Right Moves in Pittsfield, attended the sixth annual educational conference sponsored by IDEA: The Association for Fitness Professionals. The conference presented the latest fitness trends and programs as well as updates on exercise safety.
More than 1,400 instructors and business owners took part in the event Sept. 7-9 in Orlando, Fla. Ferrato took part in clinics, lectures, workshops and workouts.
“The conference shows me how far we have come as an industry, and how important it is to stay up-to-date with the latest research and techniques,” Ferrato said.
IDEA, with 18,000 members in 45 countries is the world’s largest professional organization for aerobics instructors, personal trainers, studio and club owners.
