Grand exec moves on

Lori Roll, executive director of The Grand Theater in Ellsworth, has accepted the position of administrator at Island Nursing Home on Deer Isle. Roll, who has worked at The Grand since February 1989, will begin her new position Nov. 1.

“I am very grateful for having had this opportunity,” said Roll, who is a licensed nursing home administrator. “This has been a tremendous year, and I believe The Grand is healthier than it has ever been.”

Although Roll won’t be involved on a daily basis, she does intend to remain active in The Grand’s progress and has been appointed as an honorary member of the board of directors.
