In response to Patrick T. Quinn’s Aug. 23 letter, “Ashamed to be an American”; why is this so, Mr. Quinn? You bring to mind someone who says, “Give me all I want, just don’t ask me to give or support you.”

I guess Quinn isn’t bright enough to realize that without that petroleum we are trying to protect, his ridiculous letter wouldn’t be seen in the Bangor Daily News…. Robert E. Morton Jr. Milford
