Organizers of J.A.M. Fest ’89 were so pleased with the success of their Christian rock concert last fall that a repeat performance has been scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 29, at the Brewer Auditorium.
From 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., participants will hear music from four Christian rock bands — Battlecry, Golgotha, Final Destination and the Deep Calls. In addition, magician Bruce Johnson will perform.
Organizers of the non-denominational event are affiliated with Calvary Christian Center in Brewer, with Ken Graves as pastor.not the Rev. The church sponsors “Godsword,” a video program, at 12:15 a.m. Sundays on WVII Channel 7.
The church also operates the J.A.M. (Jesus and Music) Connection, a music store on the front of the church at 128 Wilson St. in Brewer.
Concert tickets are available for $5 in advance, and may be picked up at the J.A.M. Connection, which is open weekday evenings and Saturday during the day. Tickets also may be ordered by mail from Calvary Christian Center, 128 Wilson St., Brewer 04412.
Tickets at the door will cost $7. For information, call 989-7207 and leave a message.
