CARIBOU — The Caribou Parks and Recreation Department, the Caribou Youth Ministry, the Caribou Veterans of Foreign Wars and VFW Auxiliary, and Up With Teens will hold the community’s annual Halloween party and costume dance for boys and girls in grades one through eight from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, at the recreation center.

Recreation officials are soliciting help from local merchants to help defray the expenses of the undertaking, which draws more than 2,000 people annually.

Although monetary donations are helpful, recreation officials said that donations such as crepe paper, decorations, candy for the Halloween party and soda, popcorn, or chips for the dances would be even more helpful.

Businesses or individuals that wish to contribute to this year’s Halloween activity may contact the Caribou Parks and Recreation office.
