FARMINGTON – The University of Maine-Farmington swept a pair of men’s soccer games here over the weekend, blanking the University of Maine-Machias 6-0 on Sunday after downing Eastern Nazarene College of Quincy, Mass., 3-0 Saturday.

On Sunday, Solomon Sylva and Reid Murray each scored 2 goals for the 9-3 UMF Beavers. Mike Grey and Mike Robinson each scored a goal. Matt Duffy had 2 assists and Jeff Neal, Jeff Woodward and Steve Kelleher combined to save all 6 shots.

For the 1-8-2 UMM Clippers, Mike Briggs made 20 saves on 26 shots.

In Saturday’s game, Reid Murray, Frank Caron and Carl Taylor each scored a goal for the Beavers. Woodward and Neal combined efforts in goal to save all 7 shots they faced.

Doug Man made 20 saves on 26 shots for 3-10-1 Eastern Nazarene.
