York nips Medomak

YORK – Chris Molda scored the lone goal of the game at 15:17 of the second half to give No. 1 York a 1-0 victory over Medomak Valley of Waldoboro in Western Maine Class B boys semifinal action here Wednesday.

York will play the winner of Thursday’s Yarmouth-Wiscasset contest at Wiscasset.

For 16-0 York, Jim O’Hara assisted with a throw-in. In goal, Stephane Webster notched his 10th shutout of the season.

For the 10-4 Medomak Panthers, Mike Roy saved 17 of 37 shots.
