PRESQUE ISLE — The U.S. Census Bureau will visit area residents the week of Nov. 18-23 to collect data on employment and unemployment, according to Arthur G. Dukakis, director of the bureau’s Boston regional office. Interviewers also will collect data on voting and registration.

The local labor data will contribute to November’s national labor force picture to be released Dec. 7 by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The data on voting and registration will help researchers investigate voting and non-voting behavior among different population groups.

Information supplied by individuals to the Census Bureau is kept confidential by law. Only statistical totals are published.
