Hancock County Sheriff’s Department deputies recovered more than $5,000 worth of stolen computer-related equipment from a vehicle whose driver eluded deputies in Mariaville on Sunday.

The computer equipment found in the vehicle was property stolen during a burglary at the Clifton maintenance lot office of the state Department of Transportation, according to the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Department. Deputies there are continuing their investigation of the burglary with charges pending.

Donald M. Lambert, 23, Bangor, was charged with failure to stop for an officer and driving after suspension. Lambert’s passenger, Stewart Muncey, 26, of Mariaville, was arrested on several warrants including two counts of failure to appear in court for driving after suspension and one count of failure to appear for trial.

Deputies found the stolen property in the back seat of Lambert’s vehicle.

Kenneth E. Eaton, 36, of Blue Hill, was charged with terrorizing and possession of a firearm by a felon in connection with a domestic incident in Blue Hill on Tuesday night.

Alisoun Kuhn, 47, of North Brooksville, was charged with theft stemming from a shoplifting incident at Doug’s Shop ‘n Save in Ellsworth on Tuesday.

Charles A. West, 27, of North Sullivan, was charged Monday with negotiating a bad check at Grossman’s Lumber in Ellsworth.

Patrick T. Callahan, 26, of Ellsworth, was charged with driving while under the influence of intoxicating liquor after being stopped in Ellsworth on Sunday.

The driver of a tractor-trailer escaped serious injuries in an accident on Route 1 in Hancock on Tuesday, deputies reported.

Roland Gammon, 48, of Bucksfield, lost control of the 1985 tractor-trailer as he was coming out of a right-hand curve, deputies reported. The tractor-trailer went off the right side of the road and struck a utility pole. The accident caused $8,000 in damage to the vehicle, deputies reported.

The driver of one vehicle involved in a two-car accident in Ellsworth on Monday suffered minor injuries, police reported. Complete details of the Route 1A accident were not available Wednesday.

Philip A. Swett, 46, of Seal Harbor, was transported to Maine Coast Memorial Hospital, where he was treated and released. Swett’s 1988 BMW sustained $48,000 in damage.

Driver of the second vehicle was Thomas R. Schildbach, 25, of Ellsworth. Schildbach’s 1989 GMC truck received $1,000 in damage.
