STORRS, Conn. – The University of Connecticut improved its record to 5-1 with a 3-1 win over Bowdoin College of Brunswick here Friday in men’s hockey action.

For the Connecticut Huskies, Geoff Murphy, Brian Sutherland, and Evan Franklin each scored a goal. In goal, Damen Dawson saved 33 of 34 shots.

For 1-2 Bowdoin, Brad Chin scored the lone goal off assists from Steve Kashian and Torey Lomenda. Tom Sablak saved 23 of 26 shots.
