MACHIAS — The Child Development Services of Washington County will hold a Holiday Open House from 1 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, at its new offices located at 9 Cooper St. in Machias. Residents with children from birth to 5 years, who have special needs, are particularly encouraged to attend.

Besides being afforded the opportunity to visit the new office, visitors will be able to meet the CDS staff: Dotty Baer, coordinator; Dawn Walston, case coordinator; Laurel Beal, case coordinator; Donna Vineyard, speech therapist; Terry Sanborn, office manager; and Nan Bradshaw, administrative assistant. Baer and Beal are newly appointed staff.

CDS coordinates services, after professional screening and evaluation, for preschool children. Anyone having an interest in learning more about how CDS helps youngsters can attend the open house or call the office at 255-4892.
