ROCKPORT — In Knox County Superior Court on Friday, two suits were filed against Penobscot Bay Medical Center and nurse Susan Gagne.

One suit was filed by Linda Harford of Owls Head, as the guardian of Daniel Curtis. The suit charged that nurse Gagne inflicted “great pain and emotional suffering” on Curtis at the hospital on March 1, 1989.

Carol Gardner of Warren filed a suit against the hospital and Gagne and charged that Gagne inflicted “pain and suffering” against Kilei Gardner at the hospital on Dec. 1, 1988.

Russ Donahue of PBMC said officials had only seen the Gardner suit and said the matter was in the hands of attorneys for both parties. Officials had not seen the Harford suit and declined comment.

Nurse Gagne was unavailable for comment Friday.
