UMA’s Thomaston Center to provide varied selection of afternoon courses

THOMASTON — Among the new afternoon course offerings starting in January 1991, at the University of Maine Augusta’s Thomaston Center are Perspectives on Women’s Issues, Human Ecology in the Future, English Literature, The Addictive Personality, Non-Verbal Communication and Biomedical Ethics.

Admission to a degree program is not required to register for college courses.

Six art courses will begin in January at the Thomaston Center. Although the courses are designed for students in art and photography degree programs, non-degree students are welcome to register for these classes. Studio art courses are limited to 15 people so early registration is encouraged.

UMA students and community members take courses for enrichment to pursue personal development and to increase professional skills and knowledge. For further information or registration materials, call UMA’s Thomaston Center.
