THOMASTON — Prospective students at University of Maine at Augusta’s Thomaston Center are reminded that Wednesday, Jan. 9, is the last chance for students to take the Placement Test before January classes start.
New students are asked to take this diagnostic test before registering for classes. Test results help advisers assist first-time students in choosing appropriate classes.
Prospective students are also encouraged to attend a free “Becoming A Student” workshop at the Thomaston Advising and Information Center. These workshops introduce UMA programs and lead participants through the steps necessary to become a college student. The next workshop in scheduled from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5.
