GORHAM – The University of Southern Maine women’s basketball team extended its home-court winning streak to 30 games by pounding visiting Plymouth State College 76-52 here Thursday night.
Senior captain Laura Pate paced the Huskies (10-3) with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Katarina Pulkkinen added 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Lynne Wheeler chipped in with 10 points.
For Plymouth State, 11-3, Karri Reynolds was high scorer with 16. Anne Marie Wood added 6 points and pulled down 15 rebounds. Kerry Griffin scored 10.
The Huskies improved to 2-1 in the Little East Conference. Plymouth State is also 2-1.
