OWLS HEAD — Selectman John Holman announced Monday that he would run for re-election to a three-year term at the town meeting in March.
Earlier, Holman said that he would not seek re-election because of a conflicting work schedule that made it difficult to attend selectmen’s meetings. He works as a dispatcher at the Rockland Public Safety Building for the police and fire departments.
Holman said that he was able to rearrange his schedule so that he could attend selectmen’s meetings. He will be completing his first three-year term in office in March.
Holman also had been involved with a survey of septic systems in the Ingraham Hill area where he assisted volunteers. The town was under orders by the Maine Department of Environmental Protection to cure problems with inadequate septic systems in the area.
