Mattanawcook Acad. trips Foxcroft Acad.

DOVER-FOXCROFT – Ryan Parks had 20 points to pace the Mattanawcook Academy freshman boys of Lincoln to a 64-58 overtime win over Foxcroft Academy here Thursday. For 10-5 Mattanawcook, Joe Erskine had 19 points and Jason Clifford added 12. For 9-4 Foxcroft, John Moore scored 24 points. Rob Rockwell and Duane Walton each scored 12.

Hermon frosh boys drop Central-EC

EAST CORINTH – Wesley Hatt scored 14 points to pace the Hermon freshmen to a 55-41 win over host Central here Friday. For Hermon, Chad Scripture and Chris Patten scored 13 and 10 points, respectively. For Central, Mclean Poulin had 14 points.

Dedham boys beat St. Mary’s

DEDHAM – Jeff Hardy had 18 points to lead the Dedham Grammar School boys to a 52-49 win over St. Mary’s of Bangor here Friday. For 10-5 Dedham, Ben Zaitz and Matt Jellison each had 11 points. For 12-4 St. Mary’s, Norman Loukes scored 20 points. Matt Boucher and Joey Wilcox added 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Dedham girls defeat St. Mary’s

DEDHAM – Kira Young had 10 points to pace the Dedham girls past St. Mary’s School of Bangor 26-17 here Friday. Dedham improved to 11-4. Nicole Goss led 0-10 St. Mary’s with 7 points.

Brewer edges Fifth Street

Ben Bragdon scored 16 points to lead the Brewer Middle School to a 55-54 victory over the Fifth Street Middle School in basketball action played at Brewer on Friday. Jon Thomas scored 13 points for the 6-7 Witches. For Fifth Street, 8-5, Owen King scored 13 points and Matt Kinney netted 12.

Bangor frosh girls nip Hampden

HAMPDEN – Jenny Emery and Tasanee Briggs each scored 8 points to lead the Bangor freshman girls to a 45-41 win over Hampden here Friday. Bangor improved to 13-1. Amy Dwyer had 20 points to lead 14-2 Hampden and Carey Fister added 9.

Brewer downs Fifth Street

Denise Hewes scored 10 points to lead the Brewer Middle School girls to a 36-30 victory over Fifth Street at Brewer Friday. Brewer is 10-3. Jenny Guerin scored 6 points for 6-7 Fifth Street.
