ROCKLAND — A man was injured Friday night when he was struck by a vehicle while walking across Park Street. Police said the accident happened at 6:45 p.m. in front of 63 Park St.

The unidentified man was taken by ambulance to Penobscot Bay Medical Center, where he was treated for back pains and other injuries.

State Trooper Dale York investigated the case because the victim was a relative of a city employee.
