DYER BROOK — Dr. F. Benjamin Carr, principal of Southern Aroostook Community School, was named chairman of the visiting committee to evaluate Harwood Union Junior-Senior High School Sunday through Wednesday, March 24-27, in Moretown, Vt.

Carr’s committee included educators from Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and Massachusetts. They reviewed review Harwood Union for continued accreditation.

The New England Association was founded in 1885 and is the oldest regional accreditation association in the nation. It is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as the sole agency to award accreditation to educational institutions in New England.
