WATERVILLE – Lee Ann Keber hurled a no-hitter in the second game of a doubleheader Thursday as the St. Joseph’s College softball team swept host Thomas College 11-1 and 10-0.
Kim Rogers led the Monks to victory in the first game with 2 singles, a double, and 4 runs batted in. Marcia Shields and Kris Vance added 2 singles apiece for St. Joseph’s. Shelley Zanfagna pitched the complete game, allowing only 4 hits, to earn the win.
For the Terriers, Rae McCollor singled twice and Julie Fabian knocked in the only run on a fielder’s choice in the first inning.
Keber shut down the Terriers in the second game to improve the Monks’ record to 12-7. Rhonda Harvey singled 3 times and Lisa Stern and Heidi Thiboutot added 2 hits apiece for the winners.
Thomas falls to 2-2.
