Bowdoin stops Colby Mules 11-8

WATERVILLE – Brian Crovo belted solo home runs in the third and fourth innings, and singled, driving in 3 runs to lead Bowdoin College of Brunswick to an 11-8 victory over host Colby College here Friday in baseball action.

For the 7-4 Bowdoin Polar Bears, Mike Webber hit a 3-run double and Ben Grinnell added 2 doubles. Mike Brown went five innings to notch the win.

Todd O’Connor belted a 2-run homer in the first inning, doubled, and singled twice to pace the 4-9 Mules. Mitch Rogers singled twice and hit a 2-run double in the fourth inning. Tom Griffin belted a 2-run homner in the fourth inning and singled.
