LEWISTON – Mike Godin shut out Bates for seven innings to lift the St. Joseph’s College Monks to a 9-1 baseball win over the Bobcats here Thursday.
Godin struck out seven and walked only one while giving up two hits for 9-15 St. Joe’s of Standish.
Carlton Goody cranked a two-run homer for St. Joe’s and singled. Rich Ela chipped in with a two-run double and single and Robbie Colwick doubled twice.
The Bates’ run came on a Chris Plante sacrifice fly.
