I, like many users of electric power, have always paid my utility bill, albeit grudgingly in light of (pun intended) perceived higher rates. As a resident of the town of Allagash, I have had to reassess my viewpoint of Maine Public Service Co. The recent disastrous ice run left many fortunate residents with their homes intact, but without power. Maine Public recognized this inconvenience and responded rapidly. The hard-working employees of MPSC worked around the clock to restore power to the area.
Maine Public certainly lived up to the work service in the company name. I, for one, will remit future utility payments with more awareness that I am paying not only for power usage, but for service, in the true meaning of the word. Clarence O’Leary Allagash
