A public meeting about asthma diagnosis and treatment will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, at the Abraham Lincoln School in Bangor. Guest speaker Peter S. Creticos, M.D., of the Johns Hopkins Asthma and Allergy Center, will discuss advances in the treatment of asthma and allergic rhinitis, and anti-inflammatory therapy in the treatment of asthma.

The meeting is presented by the Eastern Maine Medical Center Pediatrics Services and Jansen Pharmaceutical Co., and is free. Child care will be available.
