PRESQUE ISLE — Employees of the U.S. Census Bureau will visit selected area residents from May 19 to 25 to collect labor force data for the current population survey, according to Arthur G. Dukakis, director of the bureau’s Boston office.
The data will contribute to May’s national employment picture to be released June 7 by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The Census Bureau collects monthly labor force data from a national sample of 71,000 households.
Information supplied by individuals is kept confidential by law. Only statistical totals are published, according to Dukakis.
