FORT FAIRFIELD — A state subsidy payment reduction of $9,661 for May was discussed by the SAD 20 board of directors at a meeting Wednesday.
Superintendent Rodney Doody also said that as a result of the shortfall in state revenue, a state subsidy payment of about $200,000 to SAD 20 for June would not be sent until July.
A report on the grade four Maine Educational Assessment Test results was reviewed. Fourth-graders in SAD 20 scored above the state average in all areas of the test, according to Doody.
After nomination by Doody, the directors elected the following first- and second-year teachers or administrators: first-year employees Andrew Coiley, Terry Huff, Sarah Ulman, Georgette Beaulieu, Norma Manter and Linda Gammon; and second-year employees, Susan Lamoreau, Linda Jones, Tina Dearborn, Cathy Dunsmore and Linda Cronkite.
The director authorized the superintendent to file an application with the state division of school facilities for removal of underground fuel-storage tanks and hazardous materials.
The board met in executive session to discuss teacher contracts. No action was taken after the session.
The next regular meeting is scheduled at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, at the superintendent’s office.
