ORONO — Richard Hallee, son of Dr. and Mrs. Neil Hallee of Orono, was one of four student volunteers who worked with displaced Salvadoran refugees at Parish Outreach in Islip, N.Y., Feb. 22 through March 3.

The students helped serve food and hand out clothes to immigrants. They are all students at St. Michael’s College in Colchester, Vt.

Hallee was one of 37 St. Michael’s students who spent their winter break helping others.

The extended service program of the college is in its seventh year and provides relief to the needy and a learning experience for the volunteers.
