EAST CORINTH – Dawn Young singled, doubled, homered and knocked in 6 runs as the Central-EC Red Devils defeated Penquis Valley of Milo 25-6 in a high school softball game Wednesday. The makeup game ended the EM regular season.

Young hit a 3-run homer in the third inning, Cherie Greatorex hit a 2-run home run in the second and Shannon Wood had a solo shot in the sixth for the 11-5 Red Devils. Pitcher Sue Ann Allen went the distance, allowing only 3 hits, to improve her record to 5-3.

For the 0-16 Patriots, Karon Weston doubled and knocked in 2 runs and Caren Joy singled twice.
