MACHIAS

The following cases were processed during the May term of Washington County Superior Court in Machias with Justice Herbert T. Silsby II of Machias presiding:

Matthew Wentworth, 18, Pembroke, arson, class A, four years in the Department of Corrections, all but one year suspended and six months probation; two counts of theft, class C, one year each; theft, class B, one year; theft, Class E, 30 days; two counts burglary, class C, one year each; two counts aggravated criminal mischief, class C, one year each. All sentences concurrent and to be served in the Department of Corrections. Ordered to pay a total of $7,095 restitution.

Malcom Cushing, 35, Eastport, operating a motor vehicle after being defined a habitual offender, class C, 60 days in Washington County jail; operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating liquor, class D, 60 days, concurrent, $550 plus $30 highways fund surcharge, one year license suspension.

Stanley G. Crandall, 30, Machias, operating a motor vehicle after being defined a habitual offender, class C, one year in the Department of Corrections, concurrent with sentence now being served; operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating liquor, class D, nine months, concurrent, $825 plus $30 highway fund surcharge, two year license suspension.

Laura Dana, 32, Perry, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating liquor, class D, seven days in the Washington County jail, $550 plus $30 highway fund surcharge, one year license suspension; on a second charge of OUI, class D, stemming from a second arrest on the same day, Dana was sentenced to 30 days in jail, concurrent, $550 plus $30 highway fund surcharge and one-year license suspension.

Harry Stevens, 40, Princeton, assault, class D, 90 days in jail, all but 20 days suspended; criminal mischief, class D, dismissed, pleaded to other charges.

Stephen M. Lincoln, 24, Baileyville, criminal threatening with the use of a dangerous weapon, class D; seven days in jail, concurrent with other sentence; assault, class D, 60 days in jail, all but seven days suspended, one year probation, sentence stayed until on-or-before Aug. 1. A second count of assault, class D, was dismissed on plea to other charges.

Terrance Parker, 58, Princeton, violation of ice fishing restrictions, class E, $55.

Jeannette Neptune, 52, Princeton, violation of ice fishing restrictions, class E, $55.

David Sockabasin, 50, Princeton, violation of ice fishing restriction, class E, $55.
