MDI Blues, Hardwick Fence tie

NORTHEAST HARBOR – Mitch Ellison’s direct kick for a goal with six minutes left enabled Hardwick Fence to tie the Mount Desert Island Blues 5-5 in Central Maine Summer Soccer League action here Sunday. Ellison’s kick deflected off an Hardwick Fence fullback. Ronnie Tozier and Kevin McConnell each scored two goals for Hardwick of Hermon, now 1-0-2. John Fitzgerald and Ewan Whittaker each scored two goals for MDI, now 0-1-2. Jeff Leonard chipped in with a goal.
