APPLETON — The Summers Mist Horse Trials will be held Saturday and Sunday, July 27 and 28. The three-phase event is sponsored by organizers Claire and Marc Lorraine at Summers Mist Farm on Gurneytown Road, and sanctioned by the United States Combined Training Association.

APPLETON — The Summers Mist Horse Trials will be held Saturday and Sunday, July 27 and 28.

The three-phase event is sponsored by organizers Claire and Marc Lorraine at Summers Mist Farm on Gurneytown Road, and sanctioned by the United States Combined Training Association.

Riders from several New England states will begin arriving at the nearby Union Fairgrounds on Friday night where stabling has been arranged.

Food, provided by the Penobscot Pony Club, will be available each day and will include coffee and pastries, cold beverages, hot dogs and sandwiches, fresh fruit, cookies, brownies and assorted snacks.

Dogs must be leashed at all times.
