MADAWASKA — Winners of the fourth annual rotten sneaker contest at Madawaska have been announced.

The contest was sponsored by the Madawaska Recreation and Parks Department and Luke’s Shoe Center. Twenty students and one adult took part in the contest.

Winners and their prizes were first, Justin Michaud, who won a pair of L.A. Gear pumps; second, Andrew Cyr, a $30 gift certificate; and third, Kevin Lizotte, a $20 gift certificate.

Craig Cyr and Matt Roy received ribbons for fourth and fifth place, resoectively.
