Please don’t knock the emergency room at Waldo County General Hospital, Anthony J. Bottiglio (Readers Write, Aug. 9). We sympathize with you because each of us who goes to the emergency room expects prompt and immediate attention. First of all, we must take several things into consideration. Were there other E.R. cases? Was there only one doctor on duty and was the R.N. or L.P.N. busy?
Each of us must weigh each condition and ascertain if our problem is really an emergency.
I am pleased with Waldo County General Hospital because our emergency room visits were handled promptly and with care and professionalism. Carl and Betty Wilson Bayside
