CALAIS — Ronald Renaud, president of Washington County Technical College, announced this week that Edwin Libby of Perry had been appointed acting dean of continuing education. Libby will be a temporary replacement for Dean Bo Yerxa, who is on a leave of absence to pursue his doctor of philosophy degree in education.
Libby, who has a bachelor of science degree from the University of Southern Maine, is engaged in graduate work at the University of Maine. He previously was an electronics technician in the Navy and taught electronic communication at WCTC from 1972 to 1991, where he also served as a department chairman. During his tenure at WCTC, he also has served as the college’s affirmative action officer.
