PRESQUE ISLE – Ben Collins scored two goals to help pace the unbeaten Fort Kent Warriors to a 6-0 schoolboy soccer victory over Presque Isle here Monday.

Aaron Berthiaume, Andy Hartt, Adrian Marquis, and Travis Delisle each scored a goal for the 8-0-1 Warriors. Shawn St. Peter made five saves on six shots.

For the 2-4-1 Wildcats, Rob Deschene and Mark Robbins each made nine saves on 21 shots.

Houlton 2, Madawaska 0

At Madawaska, Kay Kohnkow and Pat Noonan scored goals as the Shiretowners upped their record to 4-7. Glen Cole and Ryan Swallow had assists.

In goal, Houlton’s Joey Sewell had 17 saves on 20 shots.

Madawaska’s goalies, Joe Cannan and Scott Carter, had 18 saves on 20 shots.

Madawaska won the JV encounter 2-1.

Machias 4, Jones.-Beals 1

At Jonesport, Jim Carroll scored twice to lead the Bulldogs to their third win without a loss. Lucas Stuart and Aaron Coffin had the other goals.

For the winners, Shannon Grange had 11 saves on 14 shots.

For 2-1-1 Jonesport-Beals, Cecil McDonald scored the goal and Mike King had 21 saves on 33 shots.

SAHS 2, Katahdin 0

At Sherman Station, Jim Drew scored both goals unassisted as the 3-2 Warriors from Dyer Brook took the win.

For Southern Aroostook, Brooks Skinner had 11 saves on 18 shots.

Katahdin goalkeepers Jason Qualey and Zack McAvoy combined for 4 saves on 7 shots.

WA 2, ‘Guagus 2 (2 OT)

At East Machias, Tim Bridges and Tim Moore scored goals for the 0-1-2 Washington Academy Raiders. Derek Feeney and Rob Dinsmore had assists.

Scott Allen and Chad Fenton each had an unassisted tally for the Knights of Harrington, now 0-2-1.

For WA, goalie Justin Erickson had 11 saves on 13 shots.

Narraguagus goalie Jarod Nichols tunred away 21 of 23 shots on net.

CAHS 6, Hodgdon 1

At Hodgdon, Hume Pierce’s two goals led an onslaught of Central Aroostook scorers as the Panthers moved to 8-4-1 on the season.

Jacob Hansen added a goal and an assist for CAHS while Kent Smith and Chad Bradbury had goals. Danny Peers and Josh Tessier added assists while Chad King made 2 saves on 4 shots.

For the host Hawks, 2-7, Matthew Pinette scored on a penalty kick and Chris Quint stopped 16 of 22 shots.

Lubec 3, Shead 0

At Perry, three players scored unassisted goals to key visiting Lubec to its third win without a loss.

Donny Farrell, Pat Foley and Bernard Grant scored an unassisted goal apiece for the Hornets behind Dewayne Porter, who made 12 saves on 18 shots.

Ed Collins made 13 stops on 19 shots for 1-2 Shead of Eastport.

Calais 1, Woodland 1 (2 OT)

At Woodland, Gary Sousa scored unassisted to tie the game for Calais with five minutes left in the game and both teams had to settle for a 1-all tie.

For the 0-2-1 Calais Blue Devils, Matt Raye made 16 saves on 25 shots.

Karol Korasadowicz scored on a Fred Newman assist for the 1-1-1 Dragons. Nate Martel made nine saves on 16 shots.

Central-EC 2, PVHS 2

Saturday at East Corinth, Central and Penobscot Valley of Howland played to a tie, giving both unbeaten teams 2-0-1 marks.

Paul Speed and Albert Withee scored for Central while Mike Bernard anbd Brian Corriveau had PVHS goals.

In the nets, Central’s David Green had 20 saves on 27 whots and PVHS’s Carleton Thurlow had 21 stops on 27 shots.
