INDIAN ISLAND – Steve Widmeyer scored two goals and assisted on another and linemate Patrice Tardif had a goal and two assists to lead the Blue team to a 6-2 win over the White team in a University of Maine scrimmage Friday at Sockalexis Arena.
Devin Mintz, the other member of the line, also had a goal. Jim Montgomery had a pair of goals for the winners and goalie Garth Snow made 20 saves.
Martin Robitaille and Martin Mercier scored for White and Mike Dunham made 26 saves.
“It was tighter checking than the first Blue-White game. There was much better positional play,” said Maine Coach Shawn Walsh.
