BUCKSPORT — Kristy Mills, a senior at Bucksport High School, has been selected to attend the National Young Leaders Conference in Washington, D.C., Oct. 29-Nov. 3.

Mills is among 350 high school students from across the nation who will attend the conference which is being sponsored by the Congressional Youth Leadership Council. The council is a non-profit, non-partisan education organization founded in 1985 to provide outstanding youth with a civic learning experience in the nation’s capital.

The theme of this year’s conference is “The Leaders of Tomorrow Meeting the Leaders of Today.” Throughout her six-day visit, Mills will meet with key leaders and newswmakers from the three branches of government, the media and the diplomatic corps.

Mills is the daughter of Mrs. Joy St. Pierre of Bucksport.
