WATERVILLE – Kim Comeau and Sarah Eustis scored a pair of goals apiece to back the 6-save goaltending of Jill Violette and lead eighth-seeded Waterville to a 4-0 win over ninth-seeded Gardiner in an Eastern Maine Class A schoolgirl soccer preliminary game here Wednesday.
Waterville is now 8-6 and will travel to play top-seeded Mount Ararat of Topsham, 13-1, in a Saturday quarterfinal.
Kate Kline had 2 assists for Waterville and Comeau had 1.
Sharon House made 14 saves for Gardiner, which wound up 5-7-3.
