GORHAM – Jodi Ladakakos scored off a Christine Arsenault assist and goalie Kim Shaw preserved the shutout as the University of Southern Maine posted a 2-0 win over Bates College in Lewiston in field hockey action here Tuesday.

Tiffany Dickinson added an unassisted goal for USM, which improved to 11-4-3. Shaw made 7 saves in goal, facing 10 shots.

For Bates, 1-10-2, goalie Kristin McCarthy made 16 saves, facing 28 shots.
