BLUE HILL — As part of his 1991 American lecture tour, Israeli lecturer and writer Walter Zanger will speak on “Jerusalem: Center of the World” at 10:40 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at the Blue Hill Town Hall. The public lecture is being sponsored by the Stevens Speakers Series.

BLUE HILL — As part of his 1991 American lecture tour, Israeli lecturer and writer Walter Zanger will speak on “Jerusalem: Center of the World” at 10:40 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at the Blue Hill Town Hall. The public lecture is being sponsored by the Stevens Speakers Series.

Zanger also plans to speak before a smaller group of community members at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, at the academy’s Esther Wood Lecture Room. His talk is titled “Gas Masks, the War, and the Peace Talks.”

The Israeli is an editor, journalist, a popular television personality, and one of the country’s best known guides. He has written numerous articles, authored a recent book on Jerusalem, and currently is writing a film about the Dead Sea Scrolls.
