LINCOLN — SAD 67 adult education director David Bosse has announced course offerings for the second semester.
To register, call 794-6712 between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. through Friday, Jan. 10.
A $15 registration fee will be charged for all non-credit classes except private pilots ground school which is $30. The $65 fee for stained-glass class includes tools necessary for the class. There is a $10 book fee for the parenting class. There is a $5 registration fee for senior citizens, who are 60 or older.
Class offerings are as follows:
On Monday, Jan. 13: 6-8 p.m. GED preparation; 6-9 p.m.; Keyboarding 1 and 2; English; woodworking; and by appointment, English as a second language and basic literacy.
On Tuesday, Jan. 14: 6-9 p.m., math and sewing.
On Wednesday, Jan. 15: 6-8 p.m. GED preparation; 6-9 p.m. woodworking, U.S. history; and by appointment, English as a second language and basic literacy.
On Thursday, Jan. 16: 6-9 p.m., general science; local history; Accounting 1 and 2; and basic first aid-CPR.
On Jan. 29, 7-9 p.m. the Internal Revenue Service will sponsor a one-night tax seminar for small businesses. Twenty people need to register for the course to be offered.
On Monday, Feb. 3: 6-9 p.m., sign language; basket weaving; make it and take it crafts; oil painting; primitive sewing; and private pilots ground school.
On Tuesday, Feb. 4: 6-9 p.m., CPR; basic golf; basic stained glass; parenting course; bridge; and boating safety; and 7-9 p.m., wills and trusts.
On Wednesday, Feb. 5: 6-9 p.m. cake decorating; rug braiding; drawing; adult physical management; Basket Weaving 2 and 3; private pilot ground school; and basic fly tying.
On Thursday, Feb. 6: 6-8 p.m. flower arrangements; and 6-9 p.m., make it and take it crafts; and intermediate tole painting.
Strip quilting will be offered from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 4 and 11, March 3 and 10, and April 7 and 14, at the Region 3 building.
Aerobics will be offered as follows: 5:30-7 p.m., Reebok step aerobics beginning Monday, Jan. 13 and an advanced class beginning Wednesday, Jan. 15; 7-8:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 13, and a beginners class beginning Wednesday, Jan. 15; 6-7:30 p.m. low-impact aerobics on Monday, Jan. 13, and Wednesday, Jan. 15. The step aerobics classes will be held at the high school, and the low-impact aerobics classes will be held at the Ella P. Burr School.
