BRUNSWICK – Bowdoin College received second-period goals in a 7:36 span from Paul Croteau, Brad Jenkins and Marcello Gentile to overcome a 3-2 deficit en route to a 7-3 hockey win over Holy Cross at Dayton Arena here Friday night.
Bowdoin is now 4-3 while Holy Cross slipped to 6-3.
Jason Fowler and Jim Klapman added third-period goals 58 seconds apart to put the game away.
Terrence Butt and Lance Brady staked Holy Cross to a 2-0 first-period lead before Jeff Caro scored a power play goal to make it 2-1.
Bowdoin’s Steve Kashian and Holy Cross’ Brian Shea swapped second-period goals before Croteau triggered the string of five unanswered Polar Bear goals at the 9:33 mark.
Klapman had two assists to go with his goal and Kashian and Fowler had an assist apiece to go with their goals. Tom Sablak made 17 saves for the winners.
Dean Gianoukas made 42 stops for the Crusaders.
