CARRABASSETT VALLEY — The second Sugarloaf/USA Jimmy Fund Skialong is scheduled for Feb. 1.
The annual fund-raiser is an opportunity for local skiers to ski with the celebrities while raising money for the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
Pledges and donations ranging from $100 to $1,000 will offer the participants designated days of free skiing, overnight accommodations for donations and pledges in excess of $500 and a free ski equipment package for topping $1,000.
The event will begin with a kickoff breakfast, goody bags and skiing from 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 1. Participants will ski with celebrities in the morning and ski free in the afternoon.
Top fund-raisers through the pledge program will be awarded prizes in the awards ceremony at the apres ski at 4 p.m.
Each skier will ski on designated trails and will be able to use the ski school lift when participating in the morning ski-along.
Pledge sheets are available at the mountain.
Participants should reserve a spot in advance to participate in the ski-along or to register for the overnight accommodations donation level.
