In these times of cutbacks in every city and town budget something should be done to save any taxpayer dollars. Has anyone given thought to the following:

In northern Maine, schools could be closed in December, January, and February instead of June, July, and August. This change would save thousands of gallons of fuel oil, money for snow removal, and would help air pollution problems. Anything during these trying times is worth a try. Charles E.
