PRESQUE ISLE – The Northern Maine Technical College Falcons gained revenge over Washington County Tech for an earlier loss at Calais by pounding the visitors 122-57 in men’s college action here Thursday.

The 11-8 Falcons now advance to the Maine Small College Conference playoffs Tuesday at Southern Maine Tech’s gym against the hosts.

Ball Mathers’ 30 points led five Falcons in double figures as Mike Wright posted 21, Kevin Young 20, Duane Grass 18 and John Ouellette 12.

For the Wolverines, 4-9, Bill Crowley had 21 and Darin Hill 13.

St. Joseph’s defeats Atlantic Union

LANCASTER, Mass. – Five players scored in double figures as the St. Joseph’s College Monks defeated host Atlantic Union College 95-80 here Thursday in men’s college basketball action.

For the 17-4 Monks, Greg Collymore led the way with 19 points and nine rebounds. Michael Kelly had 17 points. Steve Schuler, Steve Chase, and Marcus Smith each scored 14 points.

Arian Foster scored 32 points and Jeff Jones had 13 for 13-4 Atlantic Union.
