Wildcats defeat Viking boys in OT

PRESQUE ISLE – Heath Savage’s layup with 10 seconds left in overtime gave the host Presque Isle Wildcats a 78-76 victory over Caribou and a bundle of valuable Heal Points here Wednesday night.

Caribou failed to get a shot off before the clock ran out. The Vikings battled back from a 12-point deficit at the half to tie the game at the end of regulation.

For the 9-6 Wildcats, Craig MacFarline scored 18 points and had nine rebounds and seven steals. Heath Savage scored 17 points. Josh Dow and Robbie Wasson each had 12 points while John Hersey added 11.

For the 11-4 Vikings, Jason Belanger scored 19 points, John Griffeth and Travis Lapointe had 14, and Ron McAtee added 10.
