MILLINOCKET – Bill Newman scored 15 points to pace the Bangor Rams to an easy 69-48 schoolboy basketball victory over the host Stearns High Minutemen Friday night at Wentworth Gym.
Bangor turned a 17-10 first-period lead into a 38-19 halftime gap by outscoring Stearns 21-9 in the second period.
Mark Reed chipped in with 11 points for the Rams, now 12-4.
Aaron Vinson led 2-15 Stearns with 22 points.
