Stephanie Smith scored 16 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead the Old Town Indians to a 47-44 Class A schoolgirl basketball victory over the Bangor High School Rams at Barry Gym in Bangor on Thursday night.

The Indians took leads of six and eight points in the fourth quarter to hold off the Rams in the final regular season game for both teams.

For the 13-5 winners, Angie White chipped in with nine points.

For 10-8 Bangor, Shonna Cook scored 10 points and Courtney Parker and Leah Thistle added nine each.

At Presque Isle, the Wildcats fought back in the fourth quarter, outscoring the visiting Witches 20-16, but it was not enough to stop the Witches in the teams’ mutual regular-season finale.

Jen Poliquin paced 13-5 Brewer with 18 points while Amy Winchester and Denise Hewes each netted 12.

For the 9-9 Wildcats, Niki Fulton scored 16 points and Kelly Pinette put in nine.

At Fairfield, the host Lawrence Bulldogs, behind Cindy Blodgett’s game-high 20 points, capped of a perfect 18-0 regular season as they crushed the Oxford Hills Vikings.

Taffy Witham added 18 while Marsha Hamlin tossed in 12 for Lawrence.

Lori Bean was the only player in double figures for 2-16 Oxford Hills, with 14.
